Fuller Park residents got up close and personal with the monarch butterfly last summer as they participated in “tagging” monarchs, or putting a tiny sticker on each butterfly’s wing so that scientists might track its migration pattern. Read more

 

On September 26th, 2009, Eden Place hosted a Chicago Wilderness Day of Service, planned in partnership with the Land Resource Management Group, their affiliated not-for-profit The River Basins Initiative (RBI), and the Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum. Read more

The 2009 Winter edition of the magazine published by Chicago Wilderness, a coalition of organizations focused on preserving biodiversity in the Great Lakes Region, included a feature story focused on Eden Place Nature Center.  This story, written by Katherine Millett, is a beautiful look at the past, present, and future directions of Eden Place.  Read the story here.

On May 30, 2009, MB Financial Bank partnered with Fuller Park Community Development and kicked off an educational outreach program that helped build community confidence by linking residential housing resources and financial services to many residents. Read more
